Located just south of Vernal, the Butch Cassidy Trail winds through a scenic canyon filled with unique rock formations rising above the Green River. The route gradually climbs out of the canyon, gaining elevation as it heads toward the top of Asphalt Ridge. From the ridge, drivers are rewarded with expansive views overlooking Vernal and Split Mountain, making this trail a standout for both scenery and history.
