BURNT ENDS

Off the beaten path in Doc’s Beach, this optional buggy-only section pushes limits and delivers raw, technical excitement.

This modified route through the Doc’s Beach area was specifically designated for the buggy crowd and features lines and obstacles intended for highly capable, purpose-built rigs. One optional line, first attempted and named by Dave Oehlman during the 2020 Vernal Rock Rally, adds to the trail’s legacy and challenge. The infamous Burnt Ends obstacle—rated a 12—is not required to complete the route, but the group will spend time at this section to watch and spot those who choose to attempt it.
