Very Easy

  • Gentle dirt or rocky roads with mild grades.

  • Wide enough for most vehicles.

Easy

  • Dirt or rocky roads that may be rough if not maintained.

  • Minor obstacles under ~12″ high.

Easy to Light Moderate

  • Uneven, potentially rutted surfaces.

  • Loose rocks, sandy washes, shallow water crossings, mild obstacles.

Moderate

  • More uneven, rutted terrain.

  • Loose rocks, sand, erosion, occasional obstacles up to ~18″.

Moderate to Challenging

  • Rockier and rutted trail surface.

  • Obstacles up to ~24″ high, deeper washouts possible.

Challenging

  • Very rocky, off-camber sections.

  • Obstacles up to ~36″, stronger traction required.

Severe

  • Requires high ground clearance and skilled driving.

  • Exposed rock ledges, significant traction loss possible.

Severe to Extreme

  • Large obstacles, deep ruts, and technical challenges.

  • Body damage likely without proper equipment.

9 – Extreme

Extreme

  • Very technical terrain, often best suited for buggies or highly modified vehicles.

  • Rollovers, rock obstacles, and very difficult lines.

Maximum Difficulty

  • The most extreme terrain on the map.

  • Nearly unassisted progression, specialized vehicles expected.
